Four including Land Revenue Office Chief dragged to court for graft

KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against four persons, including Chief of the Land Revenue Office of Tulsipur in Dang, Naresh Kumar Khadka, alleging corruption.

The anti-graft body had arrested them for investigation on the basis of information that they had demanded bribe from the service recipients for providing land ownership certificates to squatters.

In course of the investigation, it was revealed that Khadka, Nayab Subba Keshavraj Adhikari, and Nayab Subba Pushparaj Giri had demanded Rs 320,000 kickback and Office Assistant Minraj Gaire had kept the bribe.

According to CIAA Spokesperson Taranath Adhikari, a charge sheet has been filed at Special Court in Kathmandu on Thursday demanding that they be punished according to the law.
