NCP, NC leaders to discuss appointments in constitutional bodies



KATHMANDU: Top brass of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) are holding a meeting with leader of Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party, to discuss appointments of officials at various constitutional bodies today.

Prime Minister KP Oli and NCP Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal are meeting with NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba today.

As many as 40 positions are vacant in various constitutional bodies.

Oli and Dahal had on Wednesday discussed the issue of constitutional appointment and to discuss the issue with the main opposition party.

The Constitutional Council (CC) will then recommend names for the posts.
