581 cases propel Nepal’s coronavirus count to 27,241



KATHMANDU: A total of 581 coronavirus positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours taking the national count to 27,241, Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population said on Monday.

Speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon, Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that 11,520 samples were tested through the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, as many as 17,495 have recovered across the country so far. As many as 160 have been discharged from hospitals and isolation centers in the last 24 hours, he shared.

At present, 9,639 people are in isolation and 15,198 are in various quarantine facilities.

Nepal has reported three new deaths. With this, the death toll has reached 107, he said.
