Sexagenarian man dies of coronavirus in Dhanusha



KATHMANDU: A sexagenarian man died of coronavirus while undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Dhanusha on Monday afternoon.

Acting Chief and Isolation In-charge of the hospital Dr. Jamun Singh said that a 65-year-old man from Dhanuji Rural Municipality-3 passed away while receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

According to him, the man who was an asthma patient had undergone the PCR test on August 10.

He was admitted to second-level isolation under the provincial hospital on Saturday after being diagnosed coronavirus positive.

With the death, the death toll from coronavirus in Dhanusha has reached nine.

The body of the deceased is being prepared to be managed by the Nepal Army, said police.
