EU Ambassador Cody commits continued support to Nepal’s development



KATHMANDU: EU Ambassador Veronica Cody called upon Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi on Thursday in view of the completion of her mandate in Nepal.

Both sides welcomed the increased cooperation and partnership between Nepal and the EU, as exemplified by the now annual Joint Commission or increased visits of senior EU officials to Nepal.

Ambassador Cody stated that different projects in the sector of education, nutrition, rural development, democracy and decentralization, climate change were being implemented successfully in partnership with the Nepal Government and other national and international partners.

She expressed firm commitment that the EU will continue to extend support to Nepal’s development especially as it recovers from the COVID-19 impact.
