Two from Rukum West test positive, samples sent to Kathmandu for reconfirmation



SURKHET: Two men from Rukum West have tested positive for COVID-19.

Their swab samples was tested a lab in Dhangadhi through a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method and the result came positive for coronavirus.

Director of Karnali Province Department of Health Services Rita Bhandari said that swab of 99 persons was sent to Dhangadhi on Monday.

Among them, samples of two men who had recently returned from India and are currently quarantined at Chaurjahari Municipality tested positive, according to Bhandari.

Their samples have been sent to the Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory for a reconfirmation.
