File against 172 including former DPM Gachchhadar registered in CIB



KATHMANDU:  A case indicating the172 alleged including former Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar as fraud in the Lalita Niwas land scam has been filed at Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police on Sunday.

As per the recital from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Lalita Niwas land scam case has been registered at CIB. This has made room for the police for arresting the alleged and executing the investigation process.

Few days before Samar Jung Company, an agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs had filed a case alleging 172 persons including Former DPM Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, 4 former Ministers, and 3 former Secretaries in fraud and forgery case related with Lalita Niwas land scam.

After acquiring the land from the successor of Subarna Shumsher, the government had handed the land to Samar Jung Company, an office in operation under Ministry of Home.
