Resham Chaudhary will be released soon: Dahal



KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said Resham Chaudhary who is serving a jail-term after being convicted in the Tikapur incident will be released soon.

Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of Maghi Festival at Tundikhel in the capital on Wednesday, Chairman Dahal revealed that he had met Chaudhary while he was hiding in India and at Dilli Bazaar jail after his arrest.

“I had lobbied with the government and the party for arranging swearing-in ceremony for Resham Chaudhary,” said Dahal.

He further stated that he had been advocating for scrapping the Tikapur false charges.
