Nine more succumb to COVID-19, Nepal’s death toll hits 1,230



KATHMANDU: A total of nine people died of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus death toll has reached 1,230 as of Monday afternoon with the new deaths.

Similarly, 1,197 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 210,973 with fresh cases as of Monday afternoon.

A total of 2,934 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 176,364 in the country.

Nepal currently has 33,379 active cases.

Likewise, 1,013 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as nine people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,230, the Ministry confirmed.
