Long-haul public transport to resume from tomorrow

KATHMANDU: Transport entrepreneurs are set to resume long-haul public buses from tomorrow.

The service was suspended since the last week of March amid fears of coronavirus pandemic.

The government had recently decided to resume long-haul transport service from Thursday by maintaining safety measures.

Transport entrepreneurs said they would resume the service from Thursday but demanded the government to state the health standard to be maintained.

They have also demanded the government to set up a monitoring mechanism to see if the protocols are implemented.
