Bahrain’s Prince Sheikh Nasser arrives Kathmandu to scale Mt. Manaslu

KATHMANDU: Prince of Bahrain Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has arrived Kathmandu on Wednesday to scale mountains of Nepal.

Leading an 18-member team, including 15 Bahrainis and three British citizens, Prince Sheikh Nasser landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) via a special flight today.

On August 30, a cabinet meeting had decided to allow Bahraini Prince Sheikh Nasser to come to Nepal via a chartered flight by following all the safety standards determined by the Ministry of Health and Population.

This is the first group receiving the permission from the Nepal government to climb mountains of Nepal following the lockdown imposed on March 24.

They will climb Mt. Lobuche and Manaslu.
