Besishahar-Chame road section caves in

LAMJUNG: Besishahar-Chame road section, linking the mountainous district of Manang, has sunk at Besishahar on Wednesday.

The road along the Besishahar-Chame road has caved in due to landslide and flood following incessant rainfall from last night.

Sub-engineer at the Dumre-Besishahar-Chame Road Project Office, Suman Adhikari, stated that around 20 meters of the road has subsided.

He said it was impossible to carry out repair and maintenance of the road due to incessant rainfall.

Vehicular movement has been obstructed as flood has taken place at Puwa rivulet at ward no 7 of the municipality under the road section.
