Parking charge for airlines waived by 75 pc



KATHMANDU: The government has deiced to provide a 75 percent discount on parking charges to Nepali airlines that have grounded their entire fleets due to the lockdown.

Speaking at a press briefing organized to make public Cabinet decision, government Spokesperson and Minister for Finance, Communication and Information Technology Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada said that the charges will be waived from
March 14 to one month after the lockdown is lifted.

Likewise, 75 percent of rent of the shops operating inside Tribhuvan International Airport terminal will be waived during the same period.

Meanwhile, the deadline for payment of fees by airlines has also been extended till December 31, 2020, according to Spokesperson Dr. Khatiwada.

Similarly, it has been decided to give 50 percent discount on airline operation license fee and flight qualification certificate fee.
