31 sanitation workers at Kathmandu Metropolis test RDT positive



KATHMANDU: 31 sanitation people working under Kathmandu Metropolitan City have tested coronavirus positive in the RDT test conducted on Friday.

According to Narendra Bilas Bajracharya, the chief of Health Department in the Metropolitan City, 31 staff of the cleaning department have tested positive in a rapid diagnostic test conducted on Friday.

The Metropolitan city started the test of the cleaning staff in coordination with the Department of Health.

According to the Metropolitan City, 9,34 people had taken part in the test out of which 664 were tested through the RDT method and 270 through the PCR method.

As the PCR test takes a relatively long time, most of the tests were carried out through the RDT method.

“The swab of all staff that tested positive in RDT has been sent for PCR test,” Bajracharya informed.
