CM Shahi calls for effective coronavirus test

SURKHET: Chief Minister of Karnali Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has directed the health authorities to make the check against coronavirus (COVID-19) effective.

During an inspection of the health desk at Babai in ward no. 7 of Bheriganga municipality, he directed the social development ministry and the health division and directorate officials to ensure necessary human resource and health tools at the desk that would screen hundreds of travelers every day.

Since Babai is the main entrance to the State, all travelers should be screened properly before they enter Karnali, he said. He also urged the authorities to set up a waiting room for the rest of the travelers during the examination.

On the occasion, Social Development Minister Dal Rawal pledged to provide the necessary structure and human resources. An isolation room and quarantine unit have been established in Karnali provincial hospital in Surkhet.
