VAW incidents increasing in Dhading



KATHMANDU: Incidents of violence against girls and women have increased in Dhading district, the District Police Office, Dhading said.

According to the DPO Dhading, 23 cases of rape, two cases of familial rape, 13 cases of attempt to rape and two incidents of child sex abuse were registered in the district in the fiscal year 2019/20.

Chief of Women, Children Service Centre of the Office, Superintendent of Police Jayanti Thapa said that the centre has been carrying out activities with high priority to reduce all types of violence against women.

One-door Risk Management Centre has been helping the victims, it is learnt.
