KATHMANDU: The Laxminarayan Shrestha Memorial Trust is to ensure coronavirus insurance to all members in the Nepali national women and men volleyball teams.

Players who performed in the 13th South Asian Games held last December will be eligible for the insurance.

The move is to boost up the morale of players, the Trust said in the press statement.

Nepal Volleyball Association general secretary Jitendra Bahadur Chand said insurance for players was necessary at this time and the Trust decision was praiseworthy.

He, however, said training for them was not possible at the moment.

Nepal had won the silver medal in the 13th SAG in women’s volleyball while the men’s team was knockout from the group round.
