25 more test coronavirus positive in Biratnagar



BIRATNAGAR: Biratnagar Metropolitan City has seen 25 more cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

According to the Public Health Division of the Metropolitan City, 25 people including 8 females and 17 males have come out with coronavirus positive results.

Ramesh Karki, the Chief of the Metropolitan’s Health Division stated that five people each from Ward No 3 and 6 tested positive in the recent PCR test.

Similarly, three each from Ward No 9 and 16 and two each from Ward No 5 and 17, have tested COVID-19 positive in the test carried out on Friday. Ward No. 1, 8, 11, 13, and 15 have also seen one new case each on Saturday.

With these cases, the number of coronavirus cases in Biratnagar has reached 467 out of which 76 have returned home after recovery.

The Metropolitan City has enforced the lockdown up to August 21.

A total of six persons have succumbed to death due to coronavirus pandemic in the town.
