One arrested for fleecing migrant workers



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a person on the charge of fleecing people heading towards India for work.

Nine persons who had arrived at the Trinagar customs point were charged money illegally by the person.

Yekendra Khatri alias Michael was arrested, said police.

A resident of Bajhang, Michael has been living in Dhangadi temporarilty, DSP at the District Police Office, Kailali Pratik Bista said.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.

It may be noted that the government has closed down all but ten entry points to India to stem the increasing spread of coronavirus.
