Five local units impose lockdown in Sindhuli

SINDHULI: Five local units have imposed lockdown after the cases of coronavirus surged in Sindhuli district.

Issuing a public notice on Friday, Sindhuli, Kamalamai municipality Tinpatan rural municipality, Marin rural municipality, Sunkoshi rural municipality and Golenjor rural municipality have announced lockdown to stem coronavirus spread.

The lockdown has been imposed after the coronavirus spread to the community level, said District Administration Office, Sindhuli.

As many as 13 people were infected with the coronavirus on Friday.

With the lockdown in place, all the services have been banned except for essential ones in these five local units.

Meanwhile, District Hospital Sindhuli has advised people to stay in home quarantine for 14 days due to the lack of beds.
