Coronavirus cases cross 2.5 mln in India

KATHMANDU: The number of coronavirus cases has crossed 2.5 million in India.

With 65,609 cases in the last 24 hours, the number of cases has 2,525,222 as of Saturday morning.

This number is the highest in Asia and third in the world.

Currently, 668,532 are undergoing treatment in various hospitals in the country while, 1,807,556 have recovered after treatment.

According to Worldometer, more than 49,000 have died from coronavirus in India. With 990 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 49,134 until the filing of this report.
