KMC urges citizens to abide by lockdown more scrupulously

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has urged residents of Kathmandu to abide by the lockdown as the risk of coronavirus has increased in the Valley of late.

KMC Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya said the coronavirus pandemic might go out of control if people become lenient to the lockdown orders.

He also urged the local, State and federal governments to be serious and implemented the lockdown in a stringent manner this situation.

Mayor Shakya said high alertness was needed in such a situation.

“There would be more problem with the race for people’s movement,” he said adding that the situation might go out of hand if we are not alert even after this.”
