Speaker Sapkota holds telephone conversation with State speakers over COVID-19



KATHMANDU: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota has held discussions today with the speakers and deputy speakers of the State Assemblies.

Speaker Sapkota held a telephone conference call and acquired information regarding the COVOD-19 impact in the respective State.

According to the secretariat of the Speaker, Speaker Sapkota held discussions on issues related to COVID-19 possible outbreak, preparations to combat it and treatment facilities in affected areas.

He also drew the attention of all speakers and deputy speakers on the coordination and policies to be adopted by the Centre and states.

He sought updates about the public affected by ongoing lockdown.

Responding to speaker Sapkota, all state assembly speakers and deputy speakers informed him about the current situation of COVID-19 threat and preparations made by state governments.

They further stressed on coordination between federal and state governments to combat the deadly COVID-19 threat in the country.
