Man thrashes wife to death in Banke



BANKE: A woman, severely injured after being beaten by her husband, in Banke on Sunday died on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as Dilmaya Magar of Baijanath rural municipality-2, Banke.

Her husband Balsingh Magar was accused of physically assaulting her over a family dispute.

The woman was taken to the Kohalpur Teaching Hospital on Tuesday morning where she breathed her last, Area Police Office, Kohalpur has confirmed.

It has been learnt that the man was under alcoholic influence at the time he assaulted his wife, according to preliminary investigation.

The husband had pushed the wife towards a wall of the house resulting in the injury to her head.

She was left to suffer the pain for three days. Police have taken the accused under its control.
