Two persons of Sun City Apartment test positive for coronavirus

KATHMANDU: Two, out of the three from a family, staying in Pepsi Cola-based Sun City Apartments, Kathmandu have tested positive for novel coronavirus today.

Three people, suspected with coronavirus, were admitted at the Patan Hospital yesterday.

The rapid diagnostic test (RDT) had showed their results positive for coronavirus on Monday.

The swab test of two of the three done at the Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory showed that that they have been infected with coronavirus.

With this, the total number of COVID-19 infected persons in the country has reached 16.

The government has sealed the Sun City Apartments which houses more than 2,000 people.

Meanwhile, the government is also making preparations to conduct the test of the people staying in Sun City Apartments.

The three UK-returnees were staying at the Pepsicola-based Sun City Apartments, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

They were suspected to have been coronavirus-infected 28 days after their arrival in the country.
