Rain, hailstone damage property worth millions in Parbat, Baglung



PARBAT: Rain and hailstone have damaged property worth million rupees in Parbat and Baglung districts on Monday night.

Heavy rain and hailstone occurred at Jaljala and Modi rural municipalities of Parbat and Tarakhola rural municipality of Baglung and damaged crops, according to the Agriculture Knowledge Centre, Parbat.

The rainfall and hailstone damaged wheat crops, maize, fruits and vegetable, according to Centre’s Chief Basudev Regmi.

The rain and hailstone damaged crops at Deupur of Parbat district which is pocket area for orange farming.

Similarly, potato crop was also damaged at Jaljala of Parbat and Tarakhola of Baglung district.
