S Korea to extend visa term for Nepali migrant workers

KATHMANDU: The South Korea government has decided to extend visa tenure by 50 days for those who are working here under the (Employment Permit System) EPS system.

According to the Ministry of Labor, the government has extended the tenure for those who are unable to return to their home country due to Coronavirus pandemic.

These rules apply to all the 15 nations including Nepal since April 14.

Migrant workers under the EPS system can stay for 4 years and 10 months as per the existing rule in S Korea.

With this visa extension, more than 18,500 migrant workers have been benefited.
