PM Oli asks ministers to prepare COVID-19 possible risk

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Oli has directed members of his cabinet to do all necessary preparations to minimize the risk of Corona Virus that has also hit Nepal.

He issued the directives in the meeting of the National Council on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management held at his official residence in Baluwatar.

Emphasizing the need for complete preparations for facing other disasters like fire, lightning, and floods and landslides, Prime Minister Oli directed the concerned authorities to collect disaster-related information effectively, document it properly and support the State and local governments towards that end.

According to Chief Executive Officer of the Council Anil Pokharel, the meeting discussed the risk of all kinds of disaster including the existing Corona Virus.

Main opposition party leader and NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba and members of the Council of Ministers were present in the meeting.
