PM Oli receives blessings from his father after kidney transplant

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli, who was discharged Friday after undergoing a second kidney transplant at TU Teaching Hospital, has received blessings from his father Mohan Prasad Oli.

Prime Minister Oli received blessings from his nonagenarian father upon his arrival at Baluwatar from Maharajgunj, said Surya Thapa, the press adviser to the Prime Minister.

Nobody had been allowed to meet the Prime Minister during his stay at the hospital owing to the fear of infection, said Thapa, adding, “The father wished the Prime Minister a speedy recovery at Baluwatar upon his return.”

Prime Minister had also received blessings from his father before he left for the hospital for the kidney transplantation.
