KHOTANG: Property worth over Rs 4.8 million was destroyed by fire at Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality-3 in Khotang this morning.
The property was destroyed when a two-story house of Gopi Katwal of Ramitedanda caught fire due to a short circuit.
District police said that the fire destroyed Rs 200 thousand, six tolas of gold, utensils, crops, timber, among others.
The fire was doused with the joint effort of Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and locals.
