Dr Koirala urges govt to be serious



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr Shekhar Koirala has urged the government to become serious to ensure that the country’s situation does not deteriorate further.

Speaking at a meeting held at his residence today, he said that the government needs to work to make the parliamentary system acceptable to all.

“The government must wipe out the widespread fear that it is going against federalism,” he said adding that the government must be sensitive to normalize the situation.

Dr. Koirala also said notwithstanding the result of the National Assembly election, the NC should become move ahead with unity.

The party has fielded Mina Pulami Magar of Dharan Sub-metropolis-1, Nir Bahadur Biswakarma of Phidim municipality-1 in women and Dalit category, and Rajendra Ghimire of Bhadrapur municipality-8 in the open category in State-1.
