SAPTARI: Expelled lawmaker of Samajwadi Party Sarita Giri has accused the party’s Chairman Upendra Yadav of removing her from the post at the behest of China.

Giri accused the Nepal Communist Party (NCP)-led government and other leaders of the party of being involved in the act.

“I was removed from the post forcefully under the behest of China,” Giri said while addressing an assembly organized by her supporters at Saptari district headquarters Rajbiraj on Monday.

Giri also accused the party leaders and the Chinese ambassador of holding a video conference to celebrate her removal from the posts of a lawmaker and party member.

“The Chinese ambassador was willing to visit the party office,” Giri claimed, “But, the party’s leaders asked not visiting and suggested celebrating through a video conference.”

She accused that Upendra Yadav, Baburam Bhattarai, Rajendra Shrestha, Ashok Rai, and Renu Yadav celebrated with the Chinese Ambassador.

She also said that Bhattarai and Yadav joined hands to increase Chinese influence in Madhes.

Giri also warned the Chinese government not to interfere in Nepal’s internal affairs.
