One killed, 11 injured in road accident in Dolpa



KARNALI: One person died and 11 others were injured in a road accident that took place in Maurelekh, Jagadulla Rural Municipality-4, Dolpa today.

The accident occurred when a passenger jeep (Ka. Pra. 001 Ja 0052) heading towards Jumla from Majhagaun fell about 25 meters off the road after losing control this afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Bishnu Budha of Tripurasundari Municipality-8, Dolpa, according to Information Officer and Police Inspector Padma Rawal of the District Police Office, Dolpa. There were 12 people in the jeep, including the driver, and all the remaining were injured.

The injured were rescued and rusged to Karnali Institute of Health Sciences, Jumla for treatment. An investigation is underway to find the reason behind the accident, police said. (RSS)
