Lidi landslide update: Five bodies retrieved, 33 missing



SINDHUPALCHOWK: Five bodies have been retrieved from the site of the landslide that occurred this morning at Lidi of Jugal rural municipality-2 in Sindhupalchowk while 33 people have still been missing in the disaster.

The landslide buried 35 houses. The Sindhupalchowk police said 14 people (injured) have been rescued. Those rescued have been sent to Chautara and Kathmandu for treatment.

District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk’s chief, Prajwal Maharjan, confirmed the retrievals of five bodies from the landslide debris. Rescue efforts continue.
