Two persons who died in Birgunj test positive for COVID-19



BIRGUNJ: Two persons who died in Birgunj last night have tested positive for coronavirus posthumously.

According to Coordinator of the Gandak Covid Hospital Dr Uday Singh, their swabs were collected before death.

Now that their reports have come positive, he said.

The duo had reached the hospital with coronavirus symptoms and were put on ventilator at the Narayani Hospital.

The hospital said as many as 49 persons — 20 from Bara, 26 from Parsa, two from Mahottari and a staffer from the India’s Consulate General in Birgunj — have tested positive.
