RUPANDEHI: Coronavirus has been increasing in various districts of State 5.

Five infection cases were added at community level in Rupandehi district on Friday.

With this, the caseload in Rupandehi has hit 406.

A 26-year-old woman and other persons between the age of 23 and 35 have tested positive for coronavirus today, said vector control inspector Kedar Nath Shah.

Their swabs were tested at National Path Lab and Provincial Hospital. Health of the infected people is said to be normal.

Due to the increasing infection, the district administration office has decided that the government offices provided their services alternatively starting August 14 until further notice, said Chief District Officer Mahadev Panta.

Sixteen municipalities and rural municipalities will provide service alternatively.

As per the directive, Mayadevi and Suddhodhan rural municipalities will provide service on Friday.

Likewise, Siddhartha municipality and Marchawari and Kanchan rural municipalities will cater to service seekers on Sunday while Tilottama and Lumbini Sanskritik municipalities on Monday.

Likewise, Devdaha municipality, Omsatiya, Kotahimai, Siyari and Samarimai rural municipalities and Butwal Sub Metropolitan City will give service on Tuesday.

Sainamaina municipality and Gaidahawa and Rohini rural municipalities will cater to service seekers on Thursday.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the District-based Crisis Management Committee held at the district Administration Office decided to impose lockdown in Butwal and make lockdown strict at other places.

The meeting also decided to organize religious activities in home, to celebrate festivals in home, to close educational institutions and to close distribution of vehicle pass.

Eight individuals including four bank staffs tested positive for coronavirus in Bardiya.

According to the details published by Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, on Thursday, eight people including four bank staffs tested positive for COVID-19.

Of them, three are from Bansgadhi municipality-5, two from Bansgadhi municipality-8 and three from Surkhet.

Corona Focal Person at the Health Office, Krishna Gopal Chaudhary, said that three from Surkhet as well as another woman are bank staffs.

With this, number of coronavirus infected people has reached 277 in Bardiya. Coronavirus has been found spreading in community-level in Palpa for the first time.

Information Officer at the Office, Om Prakash Panthi, said that a woman, who had gone at Lumbini Medical College, Tansen Prabhas, for treatment of relative, tested positive for coronavirus in course of PCR test today.

However, the husband of the woman has tested negative. With this, number of coronavirus infected people has reached 563 in the district and 560 have returned home after recovery.
