HETAUDA: Two trucks parked inside the industrial zone in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati State, have caught fire today.

Police said the trucks kept in front of the Vyalit Palette Feed Industry caught fire.

The trucks with registration number plate Na 5 Pa 6503 and Na 6 Kha 7826 caught fire, it is learnt. The trucks loaded with maize caught fire due to technical causes, the District Police Office, Makawanpur said.

One truck has been completely damaged and another partly damaged by fire. The Armed Police Force, employees of the industrial area and locals together doused the fire with the help of fire engine belonging to the Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City.

Meanwhile, one person died after he was buried by a landslide at Dhungakhani of Pistung Gairigaun, Thaha municipality-12, last night.

Police identified the victim as 54-year-old Kalu Moktan working at a stone quarry at the place.

The body was found 300 metres below the quarry. Three tippers and one excavator were buried by the landslide, the Area Police Office Palung stated.

The Tribhuvan highway is blocked due to the landslide and the highway at the pace is being cleared of the landslide debris now.
