 45-yr-old man goes missing as landslide hits Gairigaun



HETAUDA: A person went missing after a landslide hit Gairigaun in Thaha municipality-12 along the Tribhuvan Rajpath in Makwanpur district.

According to Police Inspector Bikash Raj Tamang of Area Police Office, Palung, 54-year-old Kale Moktan went missing in the landslide.

As many as four vehicles – one excavator and three tippers were buried by the landslide that occurred on the road near a stone mine in Gairigaun on Thursday evening.

The incident took place when the tippers were being parked on the road. It is learnt that the persons who were inside the vehicles managed to escape through the window of the tippers.

Kale Moktan who was working as a sentinel for the stone mine has gone out of contact.
