Adopt precautions while traveling in public transport: Health Ministry



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has urged to adopt special precautions while traveling in public transport over risks of contracting coronavirus.

“The government has decided to permit public transport to operate in spite of adverse conditions to ease the lives of the people,” said Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, “Please, follow necessary health protocols. COVID-19 is not over yet.”

Dr. Gautam added that the travel through public transport is not as safe as before coronavirus outbreak, urging general public use public transport only in the case of urgencies.

He also requested to maintain minimum physical distance between passengers and use masks compulsorily.

Dr. Gautam has also requested everyone not to use public transport in case of COVID-19 infection and having symptoms similar to COVID-19.
