Upendra Yadav dubs PM Oli’s remarks on Ayodhya ‘irresponsible’

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, Upendra Yadav has said Prime Minister KP Oli’s statement that Lord Ram’s birthplace ‘Ayodhya’ actually belonged to Nepal has further aggravated the country’s image.

Yadav said the PM Oli-led government has put the cordial relationship between Nepal and India at stake.

“The Oli-led government has utterly failed to address the problems of flood, landslide and inundation which has put everyone’s life at stake,” Yadav said adding that people suffering from various hazards including those from coronavirus, diarrhea, locusts, flood and landslide, inundation etc are yet to get relief supplies.

Yadav lambasted the Prime Minister of trying to divert people’s attention by making irrelevant remakrs.

Speaking at a program organized at PM’s residence in Baluwatar on Monday to mark pioneer poet Bhanu Bhakta Acharya’s birth anniversary, PM Oli had said that India has taken to cultural encroachment by creating a ‘fake’ Ayodhya in India.

JSP Chairman Yadav, meanwhile, said that the government has been a curse to the people as it has failed to improve relationship with its neighbors.
