NAWALPARASI: Chairman of Pratappur Rural Municipality Raj Kumar Sharma has died in a road accident in West Nawalparasi on Sunday.
The driver Harilal Rajbhar of Pratappur-5 has been injured in the accident.
Sharma, who was injured in the accident, died on the way to the hospital.
According to the District Police Office, Nawalparasi, the accident took place when the driver of the jeep, Lu 1 Jha 370, lost control over the wheels.
Sharma, who was elected the municipal chairman from the Nepali Congress in the local elections, was on his way to the district headquarters to attend a meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee.
