Brazil reports 12,404 deaths, 177, 602 infection cases



KATHMANDU: Brazil has witnessed a surge in the deaths of people from Coronavirus of late. According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 12,404 after 779 died in the last 24 hours.

With 8, 459 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 177, 602 as of Wednesday morning.

Currently, 92, 601 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8, 318 are critical. Meanwhile, 72, 597 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 212 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 292,403 and infecting 4,337,104  people as of Wednesday morning.
