CAN to pick Jagat Tamata as head coach of nat’l cricket team

KATHMANDU: Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has decided to appoint Jagat Tamata as the head coach of Nepal National Cricket Team.

Tamata has already served as the coach of the National Cricket Team. The official governing body of cricket in Nepal took a decision to this effect after the head coach Umesh Patwal resigned from his post.

Tamata was the coach when Nepali team got recognition of One Day International (ODI).

He will take the responsibility of Eastern Region Cricket tournament to be held in February-March. The Nepali team has already been declared for the Eastern Region. They are undergoing closed session training from Friday.

Tamata will train the team until the next coach is appointed.
