Indian national among 3 held with 1,914 garlands of prayer beads



KATHMANDU: Police rounded up three people including an Indian national with 1,914 garlands of prayer beads at Manahari of Makwnapur district.

The arrested are Munna Yadav, 32, of Bihar State of India, Jagat Lama, 42, and Surya Man Tamang, 48, of Timal VDC of Kavre district.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad deployed from Area Police Office, Manahari also seized 25 kilograms of Buddha Chitta’s beads from an India-bound vehicle, according to police.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the trio into custody.
