NCP row: Oli, Prachanda involve in war of words

KATHMANDU: The ongoing dispute between Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairmen KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” seems to further escalate despite both sides sitting together in today’s Secretariat meeting.

This becomes evident as Oli, also the Prime Minister, alleged Prachanda of promoting “groupism” in the party.

PM Oli accused Dahal of involving in factional politics in the party in a letter to Dahal.

Sources claimed that PM Oli came down heavily on Prachanda for spreading irresponsible allegations against him.

“I never told him (Prachanda) that I will not convene the meeting of the Secretariat,” the source quoted PM Oli as saying.

PM Oli has also suggested Prachanda to stop doing politics of factionalism. He has also accused Prachanda for creating unnecessary disputes with him.

Prime Minister Oli, meanwhile, agreed to convene a meeting of the Secretariat meeting on Friday.
