US provides 100 ventilators to Nepal

KATHMANDU: The American government has provided 100 sets of ventilators to Nepal at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic is taking a heavy toll on the country.

Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal received the ventilators at a program organized at the ministry today.

Posting a message on social networking sites, Health Minister’s Press Advisor Madhav Prasad Tiwari said, “American Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry handed over 100 ventilators to the government of Nepal amidst a ceremony in the capital on Friday.”

COVID-19 patients have been hit as many health centers in the country are lacking ventilators.
