Air service resumes in Bajhang

BAJHANG: Regular air service has begun here on Tuesday. The airport closed for more than 10 years resumed after blacktopping in the airport.

Airport Chief Mohan Giri said that the test flight was conducted 10 days back after the blacktopping was finished. From today (Tuesday), the regular flight began, he added.

The Summit Air ferried 18 passengers from Dhangadhi. Now onwards, the flights would be conducted twice a week, the Summit Air said.

A passenger Prakash Singh observed that he used the flight because it would consume much time to arrive Bajhang from Dhangadhi and bus service was risky as well.

Another passenger Birat Singh Kathayat said although the airfare was a bit high, the dream of Bajhang people to fly was realized.
