Jayanagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha train service suspended



JANAKPURDHAM: Nepal Railway Company Limited has temporarily suspended train services operating on the Jayanagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha rail section.

In a notice issued today from its central office in Janakpurdham, Dhanusha, the company said the service has been suspended until further notice in view of the curfew imposed by the District Administration Office, Dhanusha, and to ensure the safety of passengers.

The notice states that the decision was taken on the basis of the curfew order issued by the Chief District Officer. Nepal Railway Company said that train services on the Jayanagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha route cannot be operated as long as the curfew remains in effect.

Apologizing for the inconvenience caused to passengers, Acting Chief of Administration Ajay Kumar Singh said in the notice that the service will resume once the situation returns to normal.
