942 ICUs, 496 ventilators allocated for COVID-19 patients

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that 942 Intensive Care Units (ICUs) and 496 ventilators have been allocated for the treatment of COVID-19 patients across the country.

Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that there are 630 ICUs and 361 ventilators in Bagmati Province.

Similarly, Gandaki Province has 137 ICUs and 59 ventilators, Province 2 has 45 ICUs and 17 ventilators, Province 1 has 43 ICUs and 19 ventilators, Karnali Province has 40 ICUs and 17 ventilators, Province 5 has 29 ICUs and 13 ventilators and Sudurpaschim Province has 18 ICUs and 10 ventilators, the ministry said.
