Nepal reports four COVID-19 fatalities, death toll reaches 95



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s death toll from coronavirus reached 95 as of Thursday afternoon after four deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said one each from Mahottari, Dhanusha, Achham and Morang have died of COVID-19.

A 45-year-old man from Mahottari died at Ram Janaki Hospital on Sunday, an 85-year-old woman from Dhanusha at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences on Wednesday and an 18-year-old man from Achham succumbed to coronavirus at Patan Hospital on Thursday.

Likewise, a 57-year-old man from Biratnagar in Morang died while undergoing treatment at Koshi Hospital on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Nepal confirmed 525 fresh cases in the last 24 hours that took the national tally to 24,957.
